That was almost like a mini pay it forwards story (like the film)
Anyway- I’m babysitting, hoping Sara doesn’t come in too late so I can get some sleep, OH and I need my sleep – cos I must be so much older than I feel – did you see Facebook – my daughter Kim had Twins just two hours ago… That takes my GRANDKIDS tally to SEVEN !!! …eeek!
Anyway – back to fb – then video time I think… lets see if Gullivers Travels finished before I fall asleep
See You TODAY!

Great video Sally. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement. There are many tangents to get lost in, in this business.. a ton of new things to learn and try. The IM niche has become fiercely competitive so using our knowledge to branch into other markets can be more fun. I’m passionate about research and planning a couple of new sites as a result. I haven’t updated my gailfay blog for a while, but intend to post much of my findings there soon. I’m having a great time but as yet haven’t been actively marketing. Wow – you featured me in your video! I’m humbled; I really am. You’ve done so much to help me, and yet I did one small thing for you and look how you’ve thanked me! (As well as all the thanks at the time, of course!). What an honour to be featured in your video!
I’m writing War & Peace at the moment as I’m doing a blog post about my holiday to Rome – sure, it may not be relevant in the world of internet marketing, but I had such a great time that I want to share it with as many people as possible! So yes, my blog does look a little neglected at the moment, but I hope in the next couple of days to finish off the Rome post…
That, plus working full time and preparing to move house means my online presence has dwindled somewhat of late – once I’ve moved and got the internet up & running then I’m planning on coming back with a vengeance. Sometimes you need to take a little break to avoid total burnout.
I’m gutted that I won’t be able to meet you at Alex & Dean’s event next weekend; typical timing that it’s just before I move house (& I have to put down a hefty deposit etc – so I’m going to be living on beans for the next couple of months!). I’ll definitely have to try to make one of Randy’s meet ups instead.
Anyway, I totally agree with your point – together, we can get so much more done than if we fumble around in the wilderness by ourselves. Team Sally all the way!

Well, as you’ve pointed out above, we’re all in this together. One of my friends at work today said “Teamwork makes the dream work” which I’d never heard before as a saying, but I think your video highlights that very point.
It’s like the acronym TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More (which was drilled into me at school about a thousand years ago!).
And I want to be on Team Sally! Yep, I’m definitely liking the sound of Team Sally – maybe I’ll get some t-shirts made or something!
You know I’ve been working on a new product, well, I had a wake-up call yesterday – apparently using brand / trademark names in domain names isn’t allowed…see my latest blog post for the full story. So that’s a setback, as now I need to establish whether I can carry on using the graphics I already have (that have the name Facebook within it), or whether I should err on the side of caution and remove the word Facebook altogether. I think what I may do is just add a bit fat disclaimer at the bottom. Randy has already offered his opinion & advice on this issue which I’m really grateful for – I love how easy it can be to ask the experts!!
I can’t wait to move house, 9 days at the time of typing! Woohoo!
Yes, I will definitely have to meet up with you soon, hopefully once I’ve moved that’ll be the last big thing I’ll have to deal with for a while!

I love this online world, and I love the community we are creating. I feel like we are a little tribe all internet connected by this amazing tool called the internet.
And yes I do believe we will succeed.
There is a saying I often use…..
“No One Succeeds Alone”
It comes from one of my favourite books “The One Minute Millionaire” about a mother fighting to save her children and has to generate a million dollars in 90 days.
That saying is so true it isn’t funny.
Together we will all succeed, we will push each other when we need to, encourage each other when we need to and most of all believe in each other.
Hope you had an awesome weekend.

You will like “The One Minute Millionaire” it is written by “Mark Victor Hansen & Robert G.Allen”
The book is written as 2 books side by side. The right side tells the story and the left side is the business book.
I always read the right side. It motivates me more.
One of my all time favourites, I read at least once a year.
The story is about a single mother, fighting to save her children from being taken from her. She has to generate 1 million dollars in 90 days ethically.
She meets a mentor and learns how to create wealth.
It was the book that got me started on the internet and on my online path.
I read it for the first time when I was pregnant with Taya and it has stuck with me ever since.
Definitely go buy it or borrow from the library.

Plus you gave everyone that is having a hard time hope that there is light at the end of the tunnell.
Yes it is hard to make it online but it is soooooo much easier if people stick together and help each other get where they want to be.
I hope everyone can see from your video why building a relationship with other marketers is so important and it encourages them to go on and do it for themselves…

Thank you for the mentions, I am touched and very grateful
Another excellent video and the message really did come across in such a way that even the brand new blogger can see that if we stick together we can all make it happen for each other.
I also have found blogs that are dormant and find it sad that people have thrown the towel in. Likewise when I visit a blog and see that the person isn’t receiving any comments I feel sad for them and want to shout out Get Blog Hopping and bring some traffic home.
Whilst talking to one of my brothers recently I was telling him about my blog and some of the other blogs I visit and he said that it sounds like we’re building our own little community, which I know we are but I didn’t realise it until he’d said it.
Its really funny how these things come together Sally. As you know when I find a little gem online I love to Pass it on as I know it’ll help others as it has helped me. I first started doing this with your video on creating ebook covers and have been doing it ever since.
When I saw Dawn’s fantastic offer of transcribing an interview I knew some people that would love the opportunity so I pointed them in Dawn’s direction.
For doing so Dawn made me a winner as well and has offered me a free transcription
and I got a copy of your eBook (great read by the way).
It couldn’t have come at a better time Sally, remember my last comment? I was saying about not being on Facebook yet as I wanted to create a quality product to offer my blog subscribers…….. well look what has happened now…. Just from Passing it on.
All I have to do now is find a person to target and think of the questions to ask……Which is why I wrote a post asking my readers for their advice.

Hi Paul
Erm I blogged years ago, when I didn’t know what I was doing… Then I had a year or so off and didn’t blog at all… then I started Marketing With Alex 3.0 (Alex Jeffreys coaching programme) and that started me blogging again in March 2010.
Yeah I guess many hurdles or roadblocks could have stopped me blogging, but instead I faced the fears and overcame the obstacles thankfully.
Thanks for saying I am rockin the blogsphere lol, that made me smile.

You could well be a pro already at interviews lol, but just incase your not.

Hi Sally,
Nice video that you got here. Internet marketing can be so frustrating but it can also be fun. I myself gain money from my blog but also enjoy the happiness from it because I can make new friends every day.

Hey Andrew, cool glad ya liked the video! Blogging is fun I like it, wouldn’t say I make a ton of money from it though, but then again thats not the purpose of my blog.
But yes, blogs are social magnets and you do make lots of lovely new friends, I completely agree with ya on that.

Hey Sally,
I have to say I am not usually one to take the time to watch video posts but after seeing all the comments popping up on Facebook I thought I best check it out.
Glad I did as it’s a great video, I think you have captured the feelings of what most people go through
at times.
I have also seen a lot of dead blogs on my travels and have been very slack with my postings.
It is hard and for anyone to still be after a length of time is an achievement in itself.
Cheers,
James

Hey Sally, great video, I love it!
I share your sadness when I see people fall by the wayside … it’s a real shame when people have to throw in the towel.
You mentioned ME Sally – thank you so much!
I’m honoured to be mentioned in your list of friends and you know I wish you only massive success in your own business – don’t forget to mention yourself as a blogging superstar and relationship marketing supremo!

Hey Paul,
Yeah I hate when people give up, it’s such a shame, no one I know will be failing, I won’t let them.
Of course you’re my friend…
You helped me set up my very first fan page with horrid FBML…
Then you helped me take it to the next level with Fast Fan Pages…
My fan page ROCKS cos of YOU.
“blogging superstar and relationship marketing supremo” ha ha ha that made me smile thanks Paul.
Speak to you soon, Sally
Great video good points about tapping into a market of people who want to read, because people who like to read use a higher level of conscience analysis when processing information. Wonderfully done!

Hi Sally,
love this video. You are right that this can be a tough but only if we make it so. Of course, the graveyard of blogs that went belly-up saddens me as well. Most people under-estimate the work that is involved and the maintenance it requires, consistently and persistently.
Thanks for letting us know that we are doing great
Love to hear that.
Keep up your great work as well !
Take care

Hi Sally,
Nice post and video. The video is really motivational and reminded me that I started blogging as a passion and as time passed I have made it like a source of income more than a desire.I will try to get to the previous attitude so that I can enjoy it the most.

Hi Sally,
My first time to your blog – first I have to say I just LOVE your accent! Great video and message Sally. I do agree with you about what a difference it makes to partner with other entrepreneurs. Since I was introduced to blogger communities I’ve not only seen incredible growth on my blog, but more importantly, I’ve learned so much and made some incredible friends! Thanks for your inspirational message, and I look forward to returning.

Hi Sally, I am so thrilled to meet you. BTW, Devesh shared you with me and a few others. ie: He shared a lovely friend.
We online people are so COOL! ha ha. Love that.
Thought I don’t know any of the people you have shared (yet) this presentation was very touching.
You are so right, we can’t do it without out friends. I have so many new found friends that I did not expect to meet coming in… yet these people who I consider family have propelled me to heights I never thought about or realized existed.
WONDERFUL, presentation. Love the Accent! I’m a Yorkshire lass by trade, noticed Randy is too. He must be very cool as well! Currently in Canada, but OH… do I miss Jolly Old England. Can’t wait to take my two kids back ‘home’ to see where I started!
Thanks so much Sally. Lovely indeed. I hope to be seeing more of you and hope perhaps I will meet more of your ‘posse’ too!
